PublicServiceNet is a dynamic online community designed to promote a new and more diverse generation of professionals for careers related to serving the public interest and addressing social issues. This site will serve as a gateway and support three extensive networks: a network of programs that provide training, internships and various leadership experiences; a network of graduate schools that offer degrees in public and international affairs; and a network of employers consisting of public policy think tanks, government agencies and nonprofit organizations. Together these groups will produce an exciting and interactive network of networks providing numerous training, academic and professional opportunities.
Members of our networks will have special networking capabilities so that students can seek support and mentoring from others already in the field and aspiring leaders can find out more directly about training and academic programs. Special work opportunities will also be made available directly to members of PublicServiceNet, ranging from internships to full time senior level positions.
The general public can use PublicServiceNet as an educational and information resource broadly covering professional public service. The site will feature special articles and commentaries, a directory of groups and individuals who are active in public service and specific opportunities to apply to various fellowships and leadership programs.
